     - Frome Independent Market 10am-3pm. This is an award-winning destination street market. Once a month, the market people of Frome and the South West reclaim the town's streets and fill it with independent food, music, shopping and more!

Friday 6th 

     - First day of the Frome Festival. The Festival runs from Friday 6th until Sunday 15th July and features top acts from every art form, as well as walks, talks, workshops, and exhibitions. After a year of planning, 2018 sees the town celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein'. There is no event at The Three Swans on this particular night, but do pop in and see us between events – it would be lovely to see you!

Saturday 7th

     - Frome Festival Event. Frome Tunnels Talk. The Frome Tunnels Project is a group of "tunnel myth" enthusiasts investigating the popular folklore of the legend of Frome tunnels and following the success of last years talk and presentation. This is a second opportunity to learn of their site investigations, historical document research, interviews and tip-offs. From 3pm upstairs.      - Frome Festival Event. Music from the Catch Club, from 7:30pm. A popular pastime in the 17th and 18th centuries was going to the local pub with one’s friends, having a drink and singing some songs. A group of local singers will re-create this atmosphere for an evening of satirical and sometimes bawdy part-songs. These songs or ‘Catches’ were incredibly popular and the Frome Festival Catch Club singers will entertain the audience with 300-year-old examples on politics, music, drinking and smoking, country pursuits and smut. Over 18’s only! Some audience participation will be encouraged.

Monday 9th 

     - Frome Festival Event. 'Definitely Louise' - a play written and performed by Bethany Heath, from 7:30pm - 8:30pm. At times both funny and moving it explores themes of confidence and insecurities, friendship and loss, and finding your way in the modern world. From the comfort of her flat, an excitable, precocious, irrepressible woman with a dirty mouth and a lot to say discusses life, her many opinions and her best friend, all the while avoiding the advances of her over eager neighbour.  This is a ticketed event, please contact the Cheese and Grain Box Office to find out more information.+16 Warning on explicit language.

Thursday 12th 

     - Frome Festival Event. The Bathampton Morris Men will be stopping off at our pub during their walking tour for a quick performance and refreshment. See a great tradition from 9pm in the Green Bar. This is a free event.

     - SLOW (Seasonal, Local, Organic, Wholefoods) Supper Society, Somerset Cheese Tasting Evening. Fancy something a little different on a Wednesday evening? Why not pop along to this? Sample a variety of Somerset cheeses, made right here on our doorstep with a multitude of platters of crackers (GF available), fruits, nuts, and chutneys too.      - Live Jazz with The New Academic Feetwarmers. A very talented group of ladies and gentlemen playing live jazz music, upstairs from 8pm. It's absolutely free, so come along, grab a drink and tap your toes along to the traditional jazz of New Orleans.
